Virginia C. Ramirez

Virginia C. Ramirez, 92, of Realitos, Texas, peacefully passed away on December 8, 2014. Virginia, the oldest sibling, was raised at the Famiy Ranch located between Benavides and Freer, Texas. She graduated from Benavides High School in 1939. Virginia and Enrique Ramirez' legacy is the educational aspirations they instilled in their children and grandchildren who together have currently earned thirty undergraduate and graduate degrees. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leocadio and Lauriana Casas; her husband, Enrique G. Ramirez and her son, Rolando (Berta) Ramirez. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ninfa C. McDermott and her brothers, Victoriano Casas and Lecoadio Casas, Jr.

Virginia is survived by her sons, Enrique, Jr. (Herlinda) Ramirez and Roberto (Dina) Ramirez; her daughters, Sandra R. (Roberto) Lara and Drusila G. Ramirez; her sister, Lucila De Leon, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Leo Casas, III, David McDermott, Carlos Tomas McDermott, Steven De Leon, Richard De Leon and Christopher Ramirez.

Holy rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Realitos.

Burial will follow at the Realitos Cemetery.
