It was a pleasure to have known Nutley and  to have worked with him in Charleston. I will remember the sound of his laugh, the smile on his face, small talks  and him saying, "it is, what it is".

Nutely may you Rest In Peace knowing you had many friends and family who loved you and loved being around you. I worked with Dave in Broadview when I started working at Bosch in 2003 alongside Dave and was sad to depart ways with the move to Charleston years later. He was someone I could always count on to help and give it to me straight. I always made it a mission to visit with him several times on vacations to Charleston. I will miss his funny sayings, expertise and most of all his good friendship. Truly one of the greats will be missed.

I first met Dave  about 25 years ago in Broadview regarding the testing business. Since that time we frequently met for business but also outside of business. It was always a great pleasure and fun to work with him and spend time with him. When he visited our company in Germany, I was proud that he also visited me and my family at my home.
I will miss you buddy. My condolences go to his family and friends.

My sincere condolences to Dave's family on his passing.  Dave was a key member of the Bosch Aftermarket Service Department in Broadview.  Always a smile on his face along with a positive attitude.  We parted ways when he moved to Charleston and I retired.  It's just so sad when someone of young age (relative to me) passes.  May he rest in peace.

I met Dave in the early 2000’s when CRIN started production in Charleston, we started working together in 2009 when the warranty division moved to Charleston. We worked side by side on injector testing for many warranty investigations. Later on Dave talked to me about this Corvette he was “undecided” on purchasing. I told him “Dave…….buy the Vette and enjoy it before you get too old to get into the Vette” (He and I were in our 60’s) He took my advice and purchased it.  Earlier this year the dept was going out for a business luncheon and he asked me to ride with him. He told me that one of the best decisions he ever made was buying the car, which gave him a lot of enjoyment driving out to Folly Beach on the weekends. The smile on his face in this photo needs no explanation…………he will be truly missed.

David was my favorite cousin.  The memories I have of David will remain with me for a lifetime.  When he moved to SC we continued to chat and text.  When he would come home for Christmas I would pop in by Aunt Sarah and Uncle Eddie to see him .  David was funny! I will miss his laugh!

Dave was the most genuine guy I've ever had the pleasure to work with while at Bosch. I always looked forward to visiting with him in his lab. There was never a dull moment, and he sure as heck was going to let you know exactly what he thought. Colleagues, friends, and family will miss his contagious laugh.

Dear Nutley family and friends,

I worked side by side with Dave for the last twelve years. He had 43 years of experience, and he taught me many things that I “thought” I knew well. He had allot of pride about his job so understandably change was never well received; but you always knew where you stood, and for me this was an admirable quality. 

Dave was so very proud of his children, siblings, nieces, nephews, grand babies…and spoke about them so much that I feel like I know each one of them. He recently graduated to grandpa status and shared many pictures/videos with me glowing with pride. He valued the counsel from his father and acted on his direction. He often said, “my dad said I should do this or do that”.  The recent loss of his mother left him forever heartbroken. 

I was fortunate enough to have known Dave and anyone who knew him would agree.  He would often say “it is what it is, nothing more”, yeah Dave you are right. 
Rest easy my friend, see you on the other side.

The picture shows Dave, my wife and myself in front of Rita's in May 2020. This was the first day Folly Beach was open again after they had closed it down to the public due to Covid. I had called Dave and made sure he met us there for dinner.
I first met Dave 16 years ago while being on a business trip in Broadview. I returned every year and was always looking forward to spending time with this fun guy who regularly broadened my vocabulary.
After he moved to Charleston, I met him there, and we went to several games of the Riverdogs where he taught me the rules of Baseball.
In 2017 my wife and I moved to Charleston as well and we always kept close contact with Dave. Be it at work or Sunday mornings at Rita's for breakfast. We were always looking forward meeting him somewhere and spend time with him. There was always a fun story to laugh about, either about his family trips to the lake house in Wisconsin or the things he did in years past with his friends in Chicago.
We were both very sad to hear about his passing and will miss our friend very much.

I worked for several years with Dave in Broadview. He was one who gave 110% whenever it was needed. Even after I moved away 21 years ago, we always tried to keep updated on each other’s lives.
Damn, Dave, you departed us way too young. wishing you peace & rest until we catch up down the path….

I worked with Dave at Bosch in Broadview for over 33 years and traveled all over with him for Bosch.He was much more than a co-worker but more like a best friend back then.I personally feel that the World has lost a wonderful,fun loving, energetic and intelligent person and anyone that knew him, like I did, would agree 100%.

My most heartfelt condolences to my friend Dave Nutley's family, i was lucky enough to have known and worked with Dave for many years at Bosch. I was also a fellow associate whom transferred from Broadview IL to Charleston SC and it was a work relocation that felt like still being in Broadview because Dave Nutley was was among us. Whether we would talk family, work, cars, or Chicago, Dave was never one to sugarcoat anything and would always share his experience and knowledge. We have lost a great man who will be greatly missed. 

I first met Dave in early 2009 when I had to break the news to the warranty group in Broadview that their department was being transferred to Charleston. I remember Dave being one of the first ones to express his support for the projects, and he ended up being instrumental for the successful move to Charleston, getting the activities up and running there and finally being a key associate in the day-to-day operation, right up until June of this  year.
Dave had always this grin on his face, as if he was telling you "don't worry, I got this!" And it was true: whatever task you would give him, he would execute it with efficiency, accuracy, determination and perseverance. His professionalism was highly appreciated, and his friendliness and helpfulness will be deeply missed.
To his Family and close friends, please accept my sincere condolences.

  I didn't work directly with David,  but I  will always remember the man behind this beautiful smile.  I retired from Bosch in 2012, and left behind many fellow employees who I knew only in passing.  David was one of those employees, but every time our paths would cross - there was that smile.  It was like seeing an old friend.  He was indeed a very special man!
Please accept my heartfelt condolences.  I pray that God will  bless and comfort you during this sad and difficult time.

I had a lot of conversations with Dave over the years and one thing I know..., he loved his family.   I worked with Dave and had the pleasure of going on a trip to Germany with him.
