

Preceded in death by his devoted wife, Angelita (née Santiago), his parents, Enriqueta Ochoa and Reyes Garcia, daughter, Enriqueta (Cookie), son, Enrique Reyes Jr., brother, Jose, and eldest granddaughter, Jackie, reunited once again.
Loving dad of Maria (Tovar) Vazquez, Angie (Albert Regalado) Garcia, and Laura (Raul) Leon; cherished PaAbuey of Juan Enrique, Roberto Enrique, Angelica, Claudia, Carolina, Jennie (Benny), Mike (Christie), Enrique “Henry” Reyes (Joselyn), Marianna, Joanna, and Liliana; great-PaAbuey to Anthony, Juan IV, Lucas Enrique, Sonny, Mateo, Annaliah, Nayeli, McKenzie, Roberto Enrique Jr., Santiago, and Giovanni. Father-in-law to Juan Cortez and Roberto Rodriguez, brother-in-law, uncle, padrino, compadre, and friend to many.
Owner of Don Quijote Bar and Henry’s Lounge, pillar of the Pilsen community, and faithful parishioner of St. Procopius Catholic Church, Enrique was called “La Barca” by friends and coworkers. He worked at Brach’s Candy Company for over 40 years, always known for his hard-work and generosity.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 3pm-8 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W. Cermak Rd., Forest Park, IL. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 1, at 8:30-9 am from Woodlawn Funeral Home to St. Procopius Church, 1641 S. Allport, Chicago, IL, viewing at 10 am until the start of mass at 11 am. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
