

She was an incredible woman whose life was defined by her deep faith in God, her love for her family, and her unwavering dedication to serving her community and church.
Irene lived her life with purpose, guided by her faith every single day. She was a true pillar in her church and community, always giving her time, energy, and heart to help others. Whether through school organizations, religious groups, activism efforts, or community projects, Irene was a natural leader and a constant source of support and encouragement to everyone around her.
She was known for her quick wit, magnetic smile, and outgoing, kind-hearted nature. Irene had a genuine concern for people that made everyone feel welcome, cared for, and valued. She loved music, spending time laughing with friends and family, helping others, and fully enjoying life. Everyone who knew her benefited from her supportive, generous, and loving spirit.
Above all, Irene was a fiercely devoted and nurturing mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she loved them with all her heart. Her love, strength, faith, and example will live on through them always.
She is survived by her loving husband, Vicente Saldaña; her daughters Adriana Saldaña-Meadath (son-in-law Matthew Meadath), Veronica Saldaña-Sullivan (son-in-law Marques Sullivan), and Julie Saldaña-Nassar (son-in-law Murad Nassar); her grandchildren Julian Carmona, Isaac Nassar, Adam Nassar, and Farah Nassar; and her siblings Daniel Perez and David Perez.
The wake will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 Cermak Road, Forest Park, IL 60130 on April 9th. Visiting hours will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral mass will take place on April 10th at 11:00am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church a 3010 48th Ct, Cicero, IL 60804.
Irene Saldaña will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
