James Andrew Maddock

James Andrew Maddock, age 76, at peace after a 3 year battle with Amyloidosis. His memory rests lovingly in the heart of his wife of 50 years, Martha Ryan Maddock. His wise counsel, and ever present humor and affection endeared him to his 7 children; Michael, Patricia, Matthew, Elizabeth, Anne, Andrew, and Martha. Devoted father-in-law to Janet Lyle Maddock, Lawrence Page, Anne Carini Maddock, William Fisher, Matthew McGuire, Stephanie Tight Maddock, and Benjamin Zipkin. Jim and Martha’s 18 cherished grandchildren will forever know that a kind person makes a loving grandparent. Preceded in death by his beloved Shirley Babel Maddock, his parents, James Sr. and Coletta, his adoring sister, Coletta Maddock Doherty and Patrick Doherty, his niece Coletta Marie Doherty, Margaret and Robert Babel, and John and Virginia Ryan. Jim attended St. Catherine of Siena grade school, Fenwick High School, and the University of Michigan. Visitation Sunday 2-8pm with a prayer service at 4pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W. Cermak Road, Forest Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Monday at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Street, LaGrange, IL (Family and friends please meet at church). Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
