He was born in Great Falls, MT. John graduated from Great Falls Public High School and studied at Moody Bible Institute until he was drafted to the Army, and shipped out to serve in West Germany.
John loved the Lord, and was involved in his local church wherever he resided, working with youth and college ministries earlier in life, to food pantries later. He never met a stranger, and would strike up conversation with you at any place and any time. His laughter, hugs and tears were contagious.
John married Donna Jean in 1993. In addition to their faith and friendliness, their home was known for its flowers in the summer, Christmas lights in the winter and family meals John would prepare.
He is survived by wife Donna Jean; children: Eric (Caroline) and Katie (Nathan); grandchildren: John, Evangeline, Emerson and Raelyn; and brothers Grant (Marian) and Wes (Therese).
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
