Peter “Pete” Rumoro, 86, of North Riverside, Illinois passed away on January 29th, 2024. Born in Sambiase, Italy to the late Nicola Rumoro and the late Rosa née Spatara. He was a loving husband for 61 years of Patricia née Harber; beloved father of Rick (Pamela) Rumoro, John (Danette) Rumoro, Joe (Linda) Rumoro and Lora (John) Gardiner; cherished grandfather of Joe (Bree), Christopher, Nick (Sydney), Patrick (Nikki), Natalie, Allyson, Amber, Gianna, John, Joey, Amelia, and Peter; proud great-grandfather of Sophia; treasured brother of Luigi (the late Maria Grazia) Rumoro and the late Pat (Rose Mary) Rumoro.
Pete was the president of Unite Here Local 450 and worked with many restaurants and hotels.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, and years of managing baseball teams. He will best be remembered for “papas” pasta and the love he had for his family.
