Benjamin "Riley" Vian

Benjamin "Riley" Vian, Born July 28, 1930. Born in Dekalb Co., IN. Graduated Ashley High School, graduated Indiana Institute of Technology (now called Indiana Tech.) with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Married Sharon Rose Strickler on June 25, 1955. Shari preceded Riley in death, in 2019. Together they had 4 children: Tami Vian Pedler, Trina Vian, Brent Vian, and Mindy Vian Wilhelm, 8 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. Riley spent all his early years of employment at International Harvester (Navistar). After retirement, Riley continued his private consulting business, Innovator's Research Inc.(IRI). He was an avid golfer, a die-hard IU fan, and a lover of all things automotive. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 4 pm at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 Saint Joe Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46835. Calling will be held two hours before the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens on Monday, June 27, 2022.
