Carlos Antonio Medina was born on May 9, 1961 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Gerardo and Rena Medina. He transitioned to heaven on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Carlos accepted Christ and joined the Zion Bethel Baptist Church, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Upon the passing of his pastor, Pastor Charles E. Trigg, he moved his membership to Greater Progressive Baptist Church. Years later he joined the Fellowship Missionary Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Carlos graduated from South Side High School in 1979. After graduation he attended Ohio Institution of Technology, Columbus, Ohio and received a degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1987, Carlos joined the US Army. Upon the completion of his military assignment, he returned to Fort Wayne, Indiana. Carlos was employed by BF Goodrich, Woodburn, Indiana for 18 years. Carlos met the love of his life in 1986 and was united in Holy Matrimony to Angela Bolling in 1988, and to this union 2 children were born. Carlos enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his loyal and beloved dog Kobe. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on his favorite basketball team, the Los Angeles Lakers. Carlos also loved his music and would spend countless hours listening to the “Godfather of Soul”, James Brown. Carlos leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife, Angela Medina; daughter, Angelika Medina (fiancé, Darraill); son, Carlos Medina II; grandchildren, Allaynah J’Adore Medina, Amoor Darraill Williams, Amarii Williams, and Amiira Williams; a loving mother-in-law, Annie Mae Bolling; sister Renita (Grover) Hicks; sister-in-laws; Patrica (Cleauthur) Billingsley, Maudine Cotton; brother-in-laws; Lang Bolling and Leon Bolling; uncle, Johnny James Lewis; his best friend and favorite sister/cousins (James, Velma, & Kalisha Goree) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Carlos was preceded in death by his mother and father, Gerardo and Rena Medina; brother-in-law, Willis Cotton Jr.; aunts, Emma Stinson, and Sarah B. Lewis; uncle Joseph Stinson.
