Catherine A. Chester, 69, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023. She was born on October 13, 1954, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Billy and Geraldine (Reiley) Payne. She graduated from New Haven High School in 1973. She retired from Lincoln Life. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. In her free time, she enjoyed going to Bible studies and spending time with her granddaughter. Surviving family include her son, Josh (Valerie) Chester; daughter, Meghan (Patrick) Gengo; granddaughter, Catalina Chester; siblings, Amy (Andrew) Laurence, Mary Payne, and John Payne. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Robert Chester; and brother, Kevin Payne. Memorial service will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 7211 Stellhorn Rd, Fort Wayne with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior. A gathering of family and friends will also be 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne.
