

Clarence Lowell Bruner, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Born on March 27, 1926 in Fort Wayne, he was the only son of the late Forrest and Alma (Griswold) Bruner. Clarence proudly served in the U.S. Army; China, India, and Burma theater, for nearly two years and was also a member of the American Legion Post 82. He earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Indiana University and was employed with Carson Pirie Scott for over 29 years; from which he retired in 1988. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie (Spade) Bruner of Fort Wayne; son, Michael (Terri) Bruner of Fort Wayne; daughters, Laura (Jim) Edwards of Mount Pleasant, S.C. and Patricia A. Rugg of Kendallville, Ind.; and two granddaughters, Jennifer and Rebecca Slone, both of Kendallville, Ind. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Davies. A Memorial Service will be at 5:00pm on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or to Honor Flight Northeast Indiana.
