Cody James Goelz, 21, of Fort Wayne, lost his life to a tragic car accident on May 2, 2016. Born on February 16, 1995, he was the son of Brian and Andrea (Goelz) Harpel, who survive. Cody enjoyed living a carefree life He had a passion for music, his dad taught him a love for fishing, camping and auto mechanics but most of all Cody enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his son.
He also leaves behind his companion, Kyra Rabe; son, Tre Rabe; sister, Brianna Harpel; maternal grandparents, John and Mary Goelz; paternal grandparents, Glen and Kathy Harpel; and several other aunts uncles and cousins.
Funeral service will be 2pm Saturday May 7, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Friday May 6, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Perry Township Cemetery, Huntertown. Memorial donations may be given to the family c/o Andrea Harpel.
