DELORES M. GUNCKEL, 97, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, June 17, 2011, at Miller's Merry Manor. She was born on June 15, 1914, in Shideler, Ind. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara A. Carr of Fort Wayne; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel E., in 1996; two grandchildren; and sisters and brothers. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Paul Offhaus officiating. Entombment in Highland Park Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Alzheimer's Association.
