

Dona Lee Sell, 76, of Huntertown, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on July 7, 2015. Born on August 8, 1939 in Indianapolis, she was the only child of the late Herman and Margaret “Peg” (Boles) Mann of Monticello, Ind. Dona grew up in Monticello and graduated from Monticello High School, Class of 1957. She earned a BS degree from Manchester University in 1961 and also earned her MS degree from St. Francis University. Dona taught Math with FWCS for 22 years, retiring from Northrop High School in 1995. In retirement, she and her husband divided their time between Huntertown and Green Valley, AZ. Dona enjoyed cross-stitching, ceramics, and reading. She was involved in her church, having been a member of Faith Baptist Church for over 30 years and a member of Green Valley Community Church for over 15 years. She served on many committees and headed up bible school at Faith Baptist Church. She participated in the Green Valley Church’s Canvas Backers, Emmaus Group and more. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Donald Sell of Huntertown; son, Gregory Sell of Fort Wayne; daughter, Wendy (Sell) Kheiry of Ohio; four grandchildren, Ian Sell, a sophomore at Northrop High School and three grandchildren living in Ohio; and cousin, Jim (Rachel) Mann of Monticello, Ind. Memorial Service will be on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 4:30pm at Faith Baptist Church, 6600 Trier Rd., Fort Wayne, with an informal gathering for all family and friends beginning at 3:00pm until the start of the service. All are invited for dinner and a celebration of life for Dona immediately following the Memorial service.
