DONALD MAX DILLING, 79, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, July 13, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 21, 1933 in Van Buren, Ind. He retired in 1998 from Airbourne Express. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Beverly A.; daughters, Kathy (Bruce) Rietdorf and Karen Dilling both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Christine Weible, Elizabeth (Tim) Studabaker, Michael (Jill) Rietdorf; great- grandchildren, Luke, Logan, Paige and Lillian Studebaker and Gavin and Corbin Weible. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Lela Dilling; sister, Marilyn Grandstaff; brothers, Delbert and Kenneth Dilling. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 202 W. Rudisill Blvd. with viewing one hour prior. Reverend Gerald Peterson officiating. Visitation also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd. Preferred memorials to Redeember Lutheran Church.
