Dorothy H. Boknecht, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away on November 1, 2016, at the Towne House. Born on July 28, 1928, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Genevieve Young; and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Edwin F. Boknecht; along with several nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Steve Koch; sisters, Ann Tester, Betty Cook and Carolyn Throndsen; and half-brother, Maurice Kindler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Monday, November 7, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 3 to 5pm, Sunday, November 6, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with a rosary service at 5pm.
