Erlene Catherine Jackson, 89, of Leo, went into God’s arms on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Born February 7, 1927, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Irene (Allmon) Chamberlain. Erlene was a homemaker and was also employed with Smith Field Airport as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed eating out at different restaurants, fishing, and traveling. She survived by the love of her life of 73 years, James E. Jackson of Leo; daughter, Marcia Armstrong of Grabill; sons, Steve (Brenda) Jackson of Grabill and James (Suzanne) Jackson of Leo; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Terri Lyn Dague. Funeral Service will be 1:00pm on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. Burial at Leo Memorial Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Heartland Home Health & Hospice.
