

Francella (Kresl) Leitel, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on December 4, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born April 7, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, and resided in LaGrange Park, Illinois and Lisle, Illinois, before transferring with family to Fort Wayne in 1976. She was a graduate of Rosary College, in Illinois and was a homemaker and elementary school teacher for 25 years, having teaching assignments in Illinois, Kansas and Fort Wayne, she also loved, sewing, baking and gardening.
Surviving are her husband, Robert; sons, Donald, Joseph, Robert (Kristin) and Jeffrey (Jenny); daughter, Liz; grandchildren, Heather, Rachel, Faith and Isak; and great-granddaughter, Audree. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Francis Kresl; and brother, Edward.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 4 to 7pm Tuesday, December 8, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Fort Wayne.
