Gary E. Myers, 86, of Butler, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023, at The Laurels of Dekalb. He was born on December 21, 1936 to the late William M. and Clara L. (Swank) Myers in Yoder. Gary retired from Kroger in 1997 after 42 years. Gary enjoyed music, nature, history, John Wayne movies and baseball. Gary married Shirley J. Davis on September 10, 1960, who preceded him in death in 2022. He is survived by his daughters, Trudi (Ken) Mohrlock, Melanie (Joe) Moore, and Lisa (Tony) Svendsen; grandchildren, Ashley (Jr) Martin, Kylie Moore, and Evan Moore; great-grandchildren, Mason Martin, and Madison Martin; brothers, William Myers, and James (Gerri) Myers. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Janet D. (Donald) Poorman. Inurnment for both Gary and Shirley will be at Lindenwood Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
