Geneva R. Daugherty, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away on February 26, 2015. Born on July 29, 1933, in Branchville, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Sophia Pollard and retired from General Electric in 1989 after 25 years of service.
She is survived by her children, David (Pat) Daugherty, Terry (John) Helton, Sandra (Harriett) Daugherty-Johnson and Brenda (Bob) Critell; sister, Juanita Anderson; and a heavenly host of 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 ½ great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Daugherty; sister, Gwendolyn Esarey; brothers, James and Randall Pollard.
Funeral service will be 11am Monday March 2, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 4 to 7pm Sunday March 1, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Visiting Nurse, Fort Wayne.
