GERALDINE C. "GERRY" PARKER, 92, of Fort Wayne, died on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at Provena Sacred Heart Home, Avilla. Born Dec. 5, 1919, in Fort Wayne, she was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church. She formerly had worked in the cafeteria at Sears in Glenbrook Mall. She was a former member of St. Joseph Township Volunteer Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are her sons, Donald E. (Judy) Parker of Fort Wayne and Darell L. (Barb) Parker of Pleasant Lake; daughters, Carolyn S. (Robert) Balyeat of Avilla and Beverly Blanchard of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Alice Miller of Syracuse; brother, Fred (Carol) Witte Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fla.; stepbrother, Eugene (Nancy) Litton of Seminole, Fla.; and brother-in-law, Wayne Thompson of New Haven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, in 1995; son, Kenneth; and sisters, Bernadine Kanafel, Leona Thompson, Irene McHenry, Veletta Wetzeland Elaine Miller. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6606 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Richard Hartman officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Burial in Parker Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Epiphany Lutheran Church.
