Grace Esterline-Henry, 97, of Fort Wayne, and formerly of Montpelier, Ohio, found peace as she went to her home with the Lord on July 1, 2018. Born June 25, 1921, in rural Montpelier, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Bertha (Starr) Ruble. She graduated from Montpelier High School and also Davis Business School in Toledo, Ohio, and worked in Montpelier, Ohio, until she married Owen “Stoney” Esterline in November of 1945. After “Stoney” was released from the Army, they made their home in Cedarville, Ind. She worked as a secretary at several different companies, the last company being Sheller-Globe in Grabill for 15 years. In 1980, she graduated from Ivy Tech as a medical transcriptionist and worked at Arthritis Associates in New Haven for 16 years before retiring in 1997. During her years in Cedarville, she enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, and was very involved in the Leo United Methodist Church. “Stoney” passed away in 1990 and in 2003 she married her high school classmate, the now late Rolland “Sam” Henry and moved back to Montpelier, Ohio. In 2012, she returned to the Leo area. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Roy of Leo; grandson, Michael (Tara) Roy of Auburn; great-granddaughters, Madison and Olivia Roy; sister-in-law, Juanita Ruble of Montpelier, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Matt Roy; and brother, Roger Ruble. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Leo United Methodist Church, 13527 Leo Rd, Leo, with calling two hours prior. Burial at Leo Memorial Cemetery, Leo.
