Janice M. Kroeber

Janice M. Kroeber, 78, of Fort Wayne, earned her angel wings on April 30, 2016. Born on March 16, 1938, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Kitty (Rapp) Loeffler. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Klaus Kroeber; sons, Larry Applegate and Tim Kroeber; daughters, Laurie Northrup, LuAnne Applegate, Lynda Fields and Michele Stump; grandchildren Raven (Brian), Jennifer (Aaron), Heather, Kip, Tommy, James, Blanch and Kendra and 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Allen and brother, Arthur (Bill) Loeffler. She is also preceded in death by her great-grandson, Little Vincent Michael Smith and her niece Pam Roble. Jan was a graduate of Concordia Lutheran School class of 1956. Jan was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. She served on the church board and the Lutheran Foundation. She was an active member of AL-Anon for 46 years. She retired from Regency Nursing Home as their department head and Biomet. Funeral service will be 11am Saturday May 7, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Lane, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 3 to 6pm Friday May 6, at the church. Entombment will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne or Heartland Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne.
