JEANNE L. (ANKENBRUCK) NEUMANN, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Lutheran Life Villages. She was born Oct. 28, 1931 in South Bend, a daughter of the late Alfred and Ruth (Price) Ankenbruck. She was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed writing, gardening, swimming and bird lover. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Mearl J. Neumann of Fort Wayne; daughters, Dianne M. (Greg) Leatherman of Fort Wayne, Elaine M. (Martin) Tippman of Loveland, Colo., and Andrea L. (Tracy) McGhee of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; son, Joseph M. (Bonnie) Neumann of Fort Wayne; sisters, Joan Calkins of Shelbyville, and Sr. Mary Duane of Mishawaka; brother, Duane (Jan) Ankenbruck of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., with a Rosary service at 3:30 p.m. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery.
