John D. Erne, 59, of New Haven, passed away on May 17, 2016. Born on March 30, 1957, in Miami, Florida, he was a son of the late Ernest and Patsy Erne Jr; he was a member of Central Ministries and worked for 44 years as a Meat Cutter/Processor for Grabill Country Meats.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Erne; daughter, Kara (Steven) Hankey; grandchildren, Elijah and Hans Hankey; siblings, Barbara (Ray) Herb, Lewis (Lora) Erne and James (Kathy) Erne; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10am Saturday May 21, at Central Ministries, 5801 Schwartz Road, Fort Wayne. Calling will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Friday May 20, at the church. Burial will be in Yaggy Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Central Ministries, Fort Wayne.
