John served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He worked at Walmart in the toy department for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, working on cars, often referred to as the "backyard mechanic" and occasionally enjoyed riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his children, Paul Pollock, and John Michael (Christie) Pollock; brothers, Neil (Sheryl Garver) Pollock and Bruce Pollock (Luciaina); and nephews and nieces, Brian, Jennifer, Mark, Max, Darci and Aaron. John was preceded in death by his twin sister, Elaine Utterback; and brother, Stephen Pollock.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 10 am to 2 pm at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46835.
