John W. Raney

John W. Raney, 81 passed away Wednesday October 14, 2020 at Lutheran Life Villages South Anthony in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN., December 31, 1938 to the late Edgar Glen and Esther Raney. He graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1957. John was a proud U.S Army Veteran. He worked in the construction industry for 40 years. John was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends, gambling, and enjoying a good meal at Halls Restaurant. John’s true passion was spending time with his family. He always made time for all of the school and sporting events and Saturday morning donuts. Survived by his children Pollianna (David) Beerman of Augusta, GA; Jon D. Raney of Fort Wayne, IN; Kimberly Troutman of Cocoa FL; Glen Ted (Holly) Raney of Fort Wayne, IN; partner Trudy Whitmore of Fort Wayne, IN; nine grandchildren six great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, K. Sue Raney. Memorial service will be 3:30 pm Sunday October 18, 2020 at Saint Michael Lutheran Church 2131 Getz Road Fort Wayne I., with gathering from 1:30 until service time.
