Josephine DeAngelo Pasquali, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, July 9, 2021. Born May 9, 1926, in Detroit, Mich., Josie was a daughter of Luigi and Jennie (DeSanits) DeAngelo.
She was the youngest of three, having one brother and one sister. Josie married Joseph Pasquali in September of 1957. While in Detroit, she worked at Wayne Chemical and volunteered numerous hours for the Detroit Police Department. In her spare time, she also sang with local groups. Joe and Josie moved to Fort Wayne in 1990 to be closer to their grandchildren. There she took her years of experience with the Detroit Police to become a diligent neighborhood watch member and spread the word of McGruff the crime dog. Her and Joe welcomed everyone into their homes and made sure they were also well fed and even left with food to take home. She loved cooking for others, sharing her love of music, watching police dramas, and of course spending time with family. She leaves behind one son, Rick (Pam) Pasquali of Huntertown; four grandchildren, Angela (Brian) Lockhart and Joseph (Emily) Pasquali, both of Fort Wayne, Amanda (Mark) Strickler of Decatur, and Katie Wall of Washington D.C; seven great-grandchildren, Anica, Landon, Cole, Gianna, Primo, Loretta, and Dominic; sister, Ann (Charles) Oddo; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joe Pasquali; parents, Luigi and Jennie; brother, James DeAngelo; and sister-in-law, Anna DeAngelo.
