Juanita Rose (Brower) Roembke Scheimann

JUANITA ROSE (BROWER) SCHEIMANN, 77, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Wood view Health Care. Born Oct. 7, 1934, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Koneta Roembke. She graduated from Central High School in 1952 and was the class Salutatorian. She worked for General Electric, retiring after 21 years of service in 1988. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church; a greeter and an Altar Guild member at church; and past president of the G.E. Elex Club. Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Martin "Bud" Scheimann; children, Cheryl (Leonard) Young and Jim Brower, both of Fort Wayne, Nora Williams of Madison, Wis., John (Denise) Brower and Tom Brower, both of Fort Wayne; stepdaughters, Sue Braun of New Haven, Linda Scheimann (Jim Kelty) of Barrington, Ill. and Jan (John) Brynda of Knoxville, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Ann (Don) Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Porter; brothers, Carl, Paul and Robert Roembke; and sister, Dorothy Roembke. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1126 S. Barr St., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Richard Maassel officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
