Judith Ann "Judy" Benzinger

Judith Ann Benzinger, 91, of Fort Wayne, Indiana walked into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 10, 2023. She was born to Robert and Pauletta Smell on October 23, 1931, in Fort Wayne. She graduated from Northside High School in 1950. She was employed by Lincoln Life as a typist after graduating from high school. She married Richard Benzinger in June of 1977. She loved volunteering at St. Joe Hospital. She showed genuine kindness during her many years of service. She enjoyed singing in the choir at church. She also had a passion for studying her genealogy at the Fort Wayne Public Library. She is survived by her children, Bev (Steve) Lee, Sharon Hans, and Keith Hans all of Fort Wayne, and Jacque (Joe) Tomlinson of Fremont, Ohio. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Kris McGuire, Pamela Watson, Kyle Lee, Jason DeSanto Jones, Derek Augenstein, Andrea Hans, Kimberly Hans, Brandon Tomlinson, and Nathan Tomlinson; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Benzinger; her son, Karl Hans; and granddaughter, Valerie Hans. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Emmaus Lutheran Church 8626 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior. Memorial donations in her name can be made to Emmaus Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements are being provided by Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, Fort Wayne.
