

Kenneth Ward Keipper, 91, of Fort Wayne, went home to Jesus on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at St. Anne Home & Retirement Community. Born June 16, 1925 in Van Wert, Ohio, he was a son of the late Floyd and Lillian (Dewitt) Keipper. A graduate of Northside High School, Kenneth was a part of the Civil Defense and was placed on top of the Lincoln Tower to look for enemy aircraft during WWII. He was employed with Sears for over 30 years from which he retired in 1992. A talented artist, he enjoyed drawing, woodworking and oil painting. He is survived by his daughter, Colleen (Mark) Summey of New Haven; sons, Gary (Pam) Keipper of Grabill and Greg (Deb) Keipper of Leo; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (James) Shearer of Angola; and special friend, Joanne Smith of Fort Wayne. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine “Jeri” (Harber) Keipper; and half-sisters, Eileen Wagstaff and Helen Wogoman. Funeral Service will be 10:30am on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Fort Wayne Baptist Church, 2323 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne. Pastor Christina Perkins officiating. Burial will be at the Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the church, Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, or Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
