MARILYN M. GARTON, 84, formerly of Jimmerson Lake, Angola, died on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at her son's residence. Born Jan. 13, 1928, in Poneto, Ind., she owned and managed Garton Research Services for 35 years. She was a member of Angola United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie Hellinger; son, Ted (Peggy) Garton; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Garton; daughters, Carolyn and Jill Garton; grandson, Todd Hellinger; son-in-law, David Hellinger; daughter-in-law, Keila Garton; and siblings, Dr. Dayton Musselman, Ruby (Musselman) Rapp, Dorothy (Musselman) Meek, and Martha Musselman. Graveside service is is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. The Rev. Mike Kjergard officiating. No visitation. Arrangements by Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home.
