Mary Louise Glaspie

Mary Louise Glaspie of Fort Wayne, Indiana was 74 years of age when she made her transition to Heaven on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. She was a native of Hayti, Missouri but lived most of her life in Fort Wayne. Mary had attended Central High School. She gained employment with Zollner Piston and retired in 2007 with 33 years of service. She was a dedicated longtime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Mary loved gardening, games, attending church and being around family. She leaves to cherish and continue her legacy to her daughter, Erma (Jesse) Wims; stepson, LaNard Foster; sisters, Allie Collins and Carolyn (Ronnie) Ward; brothers, Anthony and Darnell Glaspie; an aunt, Alice Thornton; a special friend, Debbie Cowan; 4 grandchildren, Aysia Glaspie, Alleah Wims, Demetri Beachum and Faith Beachum; 3 great-grandchildren, Anthony Anderson, Demetri Beachum Jr. and Messiah Lacey; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Minnie (Thornton) Glaspie; a daughter, Sherry Glaspie; stepson, Deontray Foster; siblings, Rosie Dies, Marcie Glaspie, Robert, Earl and Bobby Glaspie. Funeral Service is 11:00 AM Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Tabernacle Baptist Church 3404 Chestnut St. with calling one hour prior to service. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
