

MarySue Meaux, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on June 16, 1933 in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Susie (Wade) Renkenberger. She lived most of her life in Fort Wayne, except for a brief time in Lafayette, LA. She was a 1951 graduate of South Side High School. In 1955, she married Curlis A. Meaux and started a family. MarySue was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, the Rosary Sodality and their sewing guild. She was also a member of Settler’s, Inc., the History Center and the Canal Society. She was employed at J.C Penney’s from 1986 to 2009 as a seamstress. She enjoyed theatre, herb and flower gardening and being an old fashioned homemaker and wonderful cook. She loved her family with her whole heart and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 61 years, Curlis A. Meaux of Fort Wayne; son, Duane (Deb) Meaux of Bartlett, IL.; daughters, Nanette L. Meaux of Coeur d’Alene, ID., and Leslie (Sean) Druley of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Bryan Meaux of Bloomingdale, IL., Kevin (Ashley) Meaux of North Aurora, IL., Arden and Liam Druley, both of Cincinnati, OH.; and brother, David (Judi) Renkenberger of Fort Wayne. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Swartz. A Memorial Service will be at 12:00pm on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Memorials may be made to Settler’s, Inc., or to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
