Rita Marie Ansberry

RITA MARIE ANSBERRY, 87, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Paulding, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Katherine (Bush) Vetter. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church and formerly a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. Rita loved her family very much and enjoyed being a homemaker for her family. "She will be missed greatly by her family and friends." She is survived by her sons, Michael (Paula) Strasser of Grabill, Ind. and Steven (Dawn) Strasser of Kendallville, Ind.; daughters, Linda (Roger) VanSant of South Point, Ohio and Cynthia (Michael) Reynolds of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Cletus (Alice) Vetter of Hicksville, Ohio and Robert (Pat) Vetter of Ney, Ohio; sister, Bernice ("Bud") Ostendorf of Delphos, Ohio; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Vetter of Fort Jennings, Ohio.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Richard D. Strasser and Robert Ansberry; brother, Linus P. Vetter; and step-daughter, Barbara Molargic. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2014, at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 2155 Randallia Drive, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
