

Thomas G. Cartwright, 83, a long-time resident of Leo, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Born January 16, 1939 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late George and Pauline (Lahrman) Cartwright. After attending Leo High School, Tom served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1959, and the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964. Following his honorable discharge, he worked for International Harvester (Navistar) for many years in both Fort Wayne and Springfield, OH. Tom was happiest when he was busy “doing” - fishing, hunting, camping, fixing, working and helping others. While he enjoyed a good book, a good beer and a good laugh, Tom was not content to sit and watch life pass him by. Tom is survived by his children, Lisa Ruth Kallhoff, Lisa Anne (Mark) King, David (Debra) Cartwright, and Cheryl (Randy) Kincaid; brother Don (Beth) Cartwright; brother in-law Roger (Mary) Flueckinger, sisters-in-law, Nancy Flueckiger, Lois Bonjour and Wilma (Don) Leichty; step-daughters, Cheryl (Max) Delagrange, and Joni (Junior) Stailey; grandchildren, Danielle, Tanner, Chase, Natalie, and Chelsea Kalhoff, Aaron, Jenna, and Hanna Cartwright, Cody Kincaid, Nate and Grant Stailey; great grandchildren, Mckenna and Einsleigh Kincaid, and many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his wives, Kaye (Flueckiger) Cartwright, and Beverly (Ziemer) Cartwright, sister Gloria (Clarence) Parr, brother-in-law Wallace Fleuckiger, and grandchild, Hannah Stailey. Tom was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Grabill. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 11 AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 12640 St Joe Rd, Grabill, IN 46741. Calling will be on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 Saint Joe Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835.
