WILFRED GLEN McCORMICK, 95, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Lawrence Ind., passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at Parkview Hospital. Born in Ogilvie, Minn., he retired after 26 years from the Army, rank of Master Sergeant E8. He served in WWII and received a Bronze Star for the Battle of the Bulge in Ardennes, France. After retiring, he worked at Merchants Bank in Indianapolis. He was a member of D.A.V and NRA. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and woodsman, Sgt. Bill loved his family and sharing good, happy times with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Vada; daughters, Sharon Southard and Pat Fiedler; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and a granddaughter. Funeral service is noon Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
