

Born with a vibrant spirit and a heart full of compassion, Brenda dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked for NORAD, and later in cashier and food service roles, always bringing kindness and diligence to her work. Beyond her career, Brenda’s true passion was cooking — not just preparing meals, but creating experiences filled with love. Her food was unmatched, and every dish carried her signature warmth and generosity.
Brenda’s greatest joy was her family. She lovingly cared for her large family and, during difficult times, opened her home to raise and nurture her grandchildren. Her devotion to family was unwavering, and her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love.
Her giving spirit extended beyond her family. Brenda volunteered at local food pantries, dedicating her time to helping those in need. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed watching food shows and searching for new recipes, always eager to share her discoveries with others.
Brenda was feisty, unforgettable, and full of life. There are no dull stories about her — she could make you laugh until your sides ached or move you to tears with her heartfelt words. Her presence was magnetic, her spirit indelible, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Brenda is survived by her mother, Sara Licht; her children Sarah Aragon, Estefanita Aldava, Juan (Lisa) Aldava, Rebecca Aldava, Wallace Whitmore, and Tina (Shannon) Walker; 22 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and her sisters Sharline (Ray) Arellano, Wilma (Daniel) Mota, Theresa Aragon, Liza (Alfonso) Lopez, Lucia (Freddy) Kelly, Jackie (Jacquelyn) Aragon, Linda (Fernando) Ibarra, and Patty Martinez. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Brenda was preceded in death by her brother Tim Jennings, her Aunt Mary Evelyn Fine, her stepfather Delbert Licht, and her father Joe Aragon.
She will be carried to rest by her pallbearers: Juan Aldava, Wallace Whitmore, Juan Aldava Jr., Isaac Glowatz, Angelo Aldava, Dominic Glowatz, and Nathaniel Aldava.
Visitation will be held on December 18th, 2025, from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held on December 19th, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary.
Brenda will be laid to rest on December 19th, 2025, at Evergreen Cemetery, directly following the funeral service.
A reception will follow burial service at SCP Hotel, located at 2850 S. Circle Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80906.
Brenda’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and faith, and her legacy will continue to inspire those blessed to have known her.
