Carole Ann Stackonis

Carole Ann Stackonis passed away on October 30th, 2021 at the age of 78 in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on March 14th, 1943, to Russell A. and Beatrice C. Belles. On January 27, 1962, she was married to Charles A. Stackonis. They made their home in Widefield, Colorado where they raised their three children, Deborah, Michael, and Steven. In addition to caring for her family, she worked for Widefield School District, Widefield Parks and Recreation Department, and finally for Pikes Peak Hospice. She was a long time member of Holy Family and Saint Dominic’s Catholic Church where she volunteered her time. She was known for her infectious humor and friendship to all.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Chuck. She is survived by her brothers Russell (Pearl) Belles and Wayne (Kathy) Belles; her children Deborah S. Jensen (Keith), Michael C. Stackonis (Angela), Steven R. Stackonis (Shawna); her grandchildren, Heather, Eric, Stephanie, and Isaac, and great grandchildren Gunnar, Dexter, Ragnar, and Freyja, as well as extended family and dear friends near and far that enriched her life..

Her memorial will take place on Sunday, November 21st, from 2:00-5:00p.m., at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary in Fountain, CO. Please bring your fond and funny memories of Carole as we will share them during the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to John Zay Guest House or Pikes Peak Hospice of Colorado Springs.
