I found out today the Mr. Jones passed away. I, along with many others, was a Beloved Follower of his Zencart Contributions. I thank you for this guestbook. He will be missed, but I know he's an Angel watching over us. May God Bless you & Yours.

I am so sorry to hear about this. I actually stopped by Clyde's house once. I got stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado two years ago. Clyde had his address listed on his site. Once I got a chance, I drove by his house to introduce myself. A sweet little girl greeted me before calling him.

It was really awesome to meet someone who like working with Zen Cart (In person). And for that person to be Clyde Jones. He posted so much information to help others.

We didn't spend much time but stayed in touch through email and facebook but only during special occasions.

You will be missed!

Wow how sad! I just found out the sad news on Zen Cart template forum. Clyde was an awesome person and always very nice to me. He will be sadly missed.

Well I am online to just post this. Butch was my uncle. I remember the summers he would bring his family home to my grandmas. Couldn't wait to hear about what was going on in their lives since I saw them last.  Cathrine and her brother Paul always amazed me on their speaking different languages. My uncle always took them to the mall to get my cousins what they needed or wanted to take back with. My uncle would sit in the chair at grandmas smoking and drinking coffee with grandma and grandpa. I hear his voice if I hink deep enough. Dave the youngest is my dad. Cathrine and Paul I love you both!

I was just checking one of his templates and found out he's not with us anymore. My condolences to his family on their loss and I'll raise a glass to his honor this holiday for sure. Here's to a life well lived!

I am so saddened by the news of Clydes passing. He was appreciated as one of the few people who truly helped others on the internet.

I have just finished upgrading my ZenCart web site and decided to see what updates Clyde had available.  I was shocked to see that he has passed away.  My condolences to the family.  I found his contributions extremely useful.

Although I never worked or corresponded with Clyde, his posts at Zen-Cart forum have been the source of my expanded knowledge over the last year.

I feel very sorry for his loss, more so because it was unexpected.

My sincere sympathies go to his family and may his soul find eternal rest wherever he is now. I hope that he found a better place to live, far from our world's everyday troubles.

I've worked with Clyde for years on website design.  He was the most helpful and knowledgeable designer I've known.  Always quick with an answer and if he didn't know how to do something, he'd sure figure it out!  I have depended on him many a time and he was so faithful in his work. I had hoped to see Clyde at the 50th anniversary of our high school graduation and am now saddened to hear of his passing. Clyde was a "best" friend of mine from 1957 to 1961 and I regret that we had lost contact after that. I wish we could trade stories of our international travels.

It has taken me a few days to collect my thoughts and be able to write a bit about Clyde, father to my wonderful goddaughter, Catherine, and to Paul. They, and the whole rest of the family, know that our deepest sympathy and condolences go out to them.

I've known Clyde since 1971, and our then respective families shared many grand good times.  Who can forget our visit with them in Switzerland and listening to silly records and laughing, laughing (and sipping the occasional libation).  And the fun we had at Zermatt.

Because of his postings, sometimes years would pass between visits and communication, but when we did get back together, it was as if no time at all had passed. And now a final farewell, friend.

I am truly sorry for your loss.  He has clearly touched the lives of many people across the entire world with his tireless efforts for the Zen Cart community. My condolences to all who were close to him.

Shocking to hear Mr. Jones' passing away.  He was my boss in Chennai, India.  A true gentleman he was always there to help the employees.  A good magician, my daughter also remembers him.  Whenever he performs, the kids go crazy in the auditorium.  We have visited him in his house many times.  I remember he used to cook and bring food for our section.  It was a golden period. I never "knew" Clyde, beyond reading his Zen Cart posts assisting other people, but it was very evident that this man cared beyond most. I hope you have some solace knowing how many people he touched with his generosity.

Words cannot express the gaping hole left in the Zen Cart community with Clyde's passing.
I know he was just as caring, committed, and gracious in his interaction with family and friends as he was with the Zen Cart community.  You could just tell that his goal was always to help.
I feel as if I have lost a brother.

I have just heard about Clyde's unexpected passing and felt compelled to 
write to offer my sympathies.

Your request that the Zen Cart community be told that he's no longer 
with us suggests that you know what a valuable member of that community 
he was, and how much we will miss him.

Let me confirm that. Clyde was one of the giants of the Zen Cart 
community and literally thousands of people have benefited from his 
advice, his templates and the modules that he has contributed over the 
years. He will be absolutely irreplaceable.

Within the past few weeks I have been working with him to show how to 
upgrade some of his contributions for compatibility with the next 
release of Zen Cart. I'll complete that work for him and contribute them 
back to the community in his name as a tribute, though it seems a 
woefully inadequate gesture when measured against his contribution.

My deepest sympathies to you, any other family and his friends. My 
thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

I just wanted to say sorry for your loss.
 
Your dad was incredible. He was so good at what he did, his knowledge blew me away. He helped me enormously over a lot of months, being as computer illiterate as I am, to make my website absolutely amazing. He was so very patient with me because I would be forever wanting to change the color or the style of writing or whatever else would come into my head and he would email me back letting me know it was done, nothing was ever too much trouble.
 
I sent him a few emails in the last couple of days and when I didn't receive replies I began to wonder if everything was ok as Clyde always would reply. Thats when I checked his Facebook page and then his website and discovered this awful news.
 
Even though I have never met him, I really felt like I knew him and I can't believe this has happened. 
 
Sorry to bother you at this very difficult time, I just wanted to let you know what an amazing man your dad was but you already knew that.

I feel very sad to hear that Mr. Jones is no more with us.  He was a pillar of strength for us when he was the Consul at Chennai. He was a great man. My heartfelt condolences.

Can't believe ... very shocking & sad... Mr. Jones... our first Consular outreach overnight stay at ECR resort, movie evenings & his magic show performance are still evergreen in my memories. He will be missed on Facebook as well. My prayers for his entire family.

Clyde was my first boss in the Foreign Service (2000-2001) at Consulate General Chennai (India). He taught me all about the wild and crazy world of consulate work. One of my fondest memories in the State Department was the retreat he pushed for for our Consular Section one weekend at the beach. It was a great bonding experience for the local staff and Americans. Cole was a great advocate for and believer in our local staff in India - which was a great example for the veteran to set for all of us first-tour junior officers. My family and I will miss him. Rest in peace. My sympathies to all of Clyde's family.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
