

Duane Crosser passed away peacefully at his home on April 13, 2011 with his wife of 61 years, Barbara at his side. He was born in Greenville, Iowa on October 15, 1928 to Everett Floyd Crosser and Grace Runge Crosser.
Duane spent his early years in Iowa before he enlisted in Army in 1944 which later became the Army Air Corp and then just the Air Force. He retired from Air Force in 1966. He served tours stateside at Mississippi, Colorado, Illinois and Nebraska and three isolated tours overseas at Cold Bay on the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, Enewitok on the Bikini Atoll where the Atomic Bomb was tested and Iceland.
His last assignment was with the 4th Weather Wing where he retired out of Ent Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Upon retiring he used his GI Bill to obtain an Associate Degree in Business at Pikes Peak Community College.
Duane became interested in electronics and with his brother-in-law, Jan Brunson, they began Security Radio and TV Center in the Fountain Valley. Later they opened the Television Center in downtown Colorado Springs and were the largest RCA dealer in the state.
After the television business Duane became the first manager of the Knights of Columbus Lounge in Security, Colorado and also worked with his wife, Barbara at Crosser Music in Fountain, Colorado.
His last years were spent volunteering in many positions at the Fountain Valley Senior Center in Fountain, Colorado which included the Bingo Manager for more than 8 years.
Duane was a very generous, honest man. His family was very dear to him and he helped many relatives and friends in their time of need. He will be greatly missed by all of those who loved him.
Duane is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, 4 daughters, Debara, Kay (Tom Jenks), Lorelei (Al Davis), and Michelle (Gale Gieck) and 2 sons, Dennis (Deby Heckel) and David Crosser. He has 6 grand children and 5 great grand children. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Jan Brunson of Mesa, Arizona and a sister-in-law Susan Brunson and family of Pahrump, Nevada.
The service was held at Dove Witt and the burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
