Edward Hayes Wheeler

Edward Wheeler retired from the Army as a SGT in Field Artillery. He was also a retired government contractor with Hughes / Raytheon.

He was born in Birmingham, Alabama, July 23, 1950. He is the second of 4 children to the late James Wheeler and Mounyette Jones.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Shirley F. Wheeler; loving children, Stephanie Kidd, Ferlisi "Lisa" Wheeler, Walter Wheeler, Edward "EJ" J. Wheeler, God daughter Nylea Gilcreast; precious grandchildren, Anthony, Malaki, Tony, Justin, Keion, JaMarcus, Karmari, Jasmine, Aylssa, Essiance, Lyaloni, Sharaina, Noah, Messiah, Jeremiah, Ezebella; great grandchildren Kamaarii, Dominik, Titan as well as a host of wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.

Private visitation for the family will be at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. US Hwy 85/87, Fountain CO, 80817.

Sgt Edward H. Wheeler requested a cremation and we are having the Celebration of Life with full military honors on December 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80925.
