STEVE ROMERO, (ESTEVAN) passed away on October 14th at his sister's house in Fountain, Colorado. He is survived by his sisters, Maria Olemeda (David) of Fountain, Colorado, Elma Martinez of Greeley, Colorado and brother Gilbert Romero (Margaret) of Eaton, Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews; and his step children, Gene, Kanani, and Valerie Bell; and numerous friends. Steve served in the Navy during WWII, was a graduate of Colorado State University, and served in the Forest Service for thirty years. Well into his 80's you could still find him walking the La Luz trail to the Sandia summit. A memorial dinner will be served for him at El Pinto restaurant in Albuquerque at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 27th.
