Flora Abeyta Martinez

Flora Abeyta Martinez, 98 was finally reunited with her husband Eloy and went to be with the lord peacefully on September 26, 2021 with her only daughter, Irene B. Martinez and her niece Nadine Abeyta by her bedside.

Flora was born in Rainsville, New Mexico on May 20, 1923 to Antonio and Antonia Abeyta (both deceased).

In addition to her husband of 62 years and parents Flora is preceded in death by four older brothers and two sisters.

Flora and Eloy had one child, Irene B. Martinez who survives.

Flora and Eloy moved from Rawlins, Wyoming to Colorado Springs to be near their daughter in the late 70s. Flora was a devout Catholic, loved her Lord and Blessed Mother, family and many friends. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and El Paso County Senior Center.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to the senior center, Cripple Creek, cooking, dancing and various events and places with her daughter

She is loved by many and will be missed dearly. She had an infectious smile and loved to make others laugh.

A visitation will be held at 8:30 on October 8, 2021 followed by a Rosary at 9:30, and Mass at 10:00 at St Dominic Catholic Church in Security, Colorado.

She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery beside the love of her life Eloy.
