

He died Sept. 5, 2011 at Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO.
Fred spent a year in Iraq during Desert Storm keeping equipment at
combat ready. He was proud of the time he spent serving his country. He
retired from the US Army in 1994 at the age of 39.
After Army retirement he settled in Colorado Springs and got a job
working at the Motor Pool at Ft. Carson Army Base. He was right at home again.
Fred loved life. He loved to laugh and have fun. He loved his friends
and mostly he loved his family. His grandchildren brought him an abundant amount of joy.
Fred is survived by his wife, Young Hui, his daughters, Angela (Troy)
Valdez, Lisa (Henry) Brachhold, all of Colorado Springs, son Freddy Jr. of
Denver, CO grandchildren, Gaebriel, Isaias, and a girl to be born in
December, all of Colorado Springs.
He is also survived by his parents, Pat and Mabel Fajardo, sister Linda
(Wes) of Rapid City, SD, and brother Bob (Mary) of Northglenn. CO.
He was preceded in death by his brother Pat Fajardo Jr.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 9:00am to 10:00am with a Funeral Mass following at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery.
