Jennie M. Garcia

Jennie Garcia, age 76, passed away at her home in Fountain on June 7, 2012. She was born on May 6, 1936 to parents Leopoldo and Ambrocita (Martinez) Torres in Trinidad, Colorado. She was a long time Fountain resident.

She is the beloved wife of Leonard Garcia, loving mother of Gene (June) Daoust, Debra Whitney, Janet (Steve) Trujillo, Diana (Russell) Trujillo, Ronald Daoust, Harold (Shirley) Daoust, John (Adeliza) Aragon, Cindy Eve and Julie Daoust. Forever sister of Henry Torres Sr., Molly Webb, Pete Dominquez, Henry Jr. (Vicki) Torres, Richard (Lupe) Aragon, and Joe (Molly) Torres. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 33 Great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. She was lifelong friends with John Aragon Sr., Ronald Legg and Timothy Gwin.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents Leopoldo,and Ambrocita, a sister Mary Crow and a brother Frank Torres.

Visitation for Jennie will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S Hwy 85 87, Fountain, Colorado from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 12th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, 5354 S Hwy 85 87, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
