

He was born in Las Animas, Colorado to Carrol and Edith Hogue on October 9, 1941. Jimmie Lee Hogue is survived by his wife Bonnie he married on April 23, 1961. As he liked to tell everyone, “That’s my girlfriend of 53 years.”
He is also survived by his children Twila, Kathleen, Eileen, and son-in-law Michael; grandchildren Melinda, Joseph, Christopher, Sean, Courtney, Colin, Matthew, Crystal, Danny, Tabby, and Bernadette; great-grandchildren Blake, Makayla, and Lilly and ex-son-in-law Joe.
He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather and provided so much love and guidance. He leaves a legacy which cannot be matched by any other. He was a well respected man in the many circles he traveled and will be greatly missed.
Jim lived in the Arkansas Valley for most of his life until he moved to Colorado Springs in 1963.
He joined the Pikes Peak Pigeon Club in 1964 and well liked by the members of the club.
He received his license as a Master Plumber in 1970. He mentored many a young person and helped them learn the trade.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Pikes Peak Hospice in Jimmie’s name.
