Kyong Suk Jaramillo, 77, passed away on April 28, 2023, in Colorado Springs, CO. Kyong was born on March 15, 1946 in South Korea. She was a very strong and independent woman in an era and culture, that it was unusual. Kyong welcomed her daughter, Yune Chong, as a single parent. When Yune was in grade school, Kyong met and married Eugene Jaramillo. Gene helped raise Yune as they moved from South Korea, around the United States until landing in Colorado in 1984, where Gene later retired. Following their divorce in 1992, Kyong remained in Colorado Springs. She was an active member of her church for many years. She studied her Bible daily, and was always eager to learn more, dedicating her life to Our Lord and Savior. Kyong made friends everywhere she went. She was so generous, kind and giving, you could not help but fall in love with her. As an amazing cook, she loved feeding all those she encountered.
Kyong is survived by daughter Yune Nielsen of Colorado Springs, CO, Grandson Charles Miller (Sarah) and great grandson Alden Miller, of Huntsville, AL. Viewing will be held at Dove-Witt Funeral Home, 6630 S US Hwy 85/87 in Fountain.
