Marion D. Vaughan, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, teacher, and nurse, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine Deanna Vaughan, and his son, Daniel Dean Vaughan.
Born on February 7, 1935 in Scott City, KS, Marion lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and faith. A man who loved the Lord deeply, he walked through life with grace, humility, and a servant’s heart. His faith guided every step he took and shone through in the way he cared for others—both in his years as a teacher and later as a nurse. Through his words and actions, Marion reflected the love of Christ to everyone he met.
Marion’s greatest joy was his family. He was the proud father of five children, grandfather to thirteen, and great-grandfather to eight. Known for his gentle humor, wisdom, and steadfast love, he was the cornerstone of his family and a faithful example of strength and devotion.
Marion’s legacy of kindness, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him. We find comfort in knowing he has been welcomed into his eternal home with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Fountain Independent Baptist Church, 201 Main Street, Fountain, CO 80817.
