Mary Yuriko Connors died Wednesday April 17, 2013 after a long illness with Parkinson Disease.
She was 88 years old, born in Tokyo, Japan, the third daughter of Matahishi and Tori Matsuda.
She was preceded in death by both parents and younger brother Kyoshi Matsuda. She is survived by her three sisters in Japan.
She was married to Raymond J Connors, a soldier at the American Embassy in Tokyo who survives.
She is also survived by a daughter Theresa B. Graves of Gypson, CO., a son Francis X. Connors of Lafayette, LA. Two granddaughters, Lisa Graves, San Diego, CA and Stephanie Grave, Denver, CO.
Two grandsons Andrew Connors, Houston, TX and Ian Connors, a paratrooper at Fort Bragg, N.C.
One Great-grandson Dillon Graves, and three great -granddaughters, Mariah Graves, Aaliyah and Lorelai Connors.
She enjoyed being with her friends at the Fountain Valley Senior Center and spent many happy hours there until her illness prevented her from further attending.
Mary Yuriko will be cremated and buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a later date.
